We believe that community care results in better care.

That's why we are founding the Willow River Doula Collective which will operate on a new shared care model.

Why Choose a Team?

We believe that support makes everything better — That’s kinda why we’re doulas.

But doula work is hard. The burnout rate for this profession is about three years. Which means our industry is constantly losing doulas with valuable experience and wisdom. Supporting folks through their reproductive experience is our passion, we really don’t want to do anything else. So we had to think outside of the box to find something that is best for everyone; for ourselves, our families, our clients, and the community at large.

When you sign up with Willow River Doula Collective, you are getting a team. We care for you, and more importantly, we care for each other, so that you always receive care from someone who is thriving, not showing up in your birthing space on the edge of burnout.

As doulas, we know that continuity of care matters. During pregnancy, we make sure that you get to know your entire team. Your prenatal visits will be done with two doulas, so you have face-to-face time with all of us. You will also be in a group chat with all of us, which means that you benefit from our collective 30+ years of wisdom, and we will always be on the same page. If your birth is longer, we may switch out doulas so you get the benefit of fresh energy and a new set of eyes, but with the same comfort of a trusting relationship.
